Gabriel Carriere stopped 29 Madison Capitols shots Tuesday and the Waterloo Black Hawks earned a 2-0 road win at Capitol Ice Center.
 
Wyatt Schingoethe’s goal in the middle of the first period stood up as the game-winner.  John Waldron added an empty-net goal in the final 90 seconds while the Black Hawks were also shorthanded.
 
Waterloo outshot Madison 41-29.
