On Friday, February 5th, the State of Iowa issued new guidance related to gatherings and activities. This new proclamation takes effect on Sunday, February 7th.
The Black Hawks are currently reviewing this new information to see how it will apply to hockey games at Young Arena. Initial indications suggest that there may be some new opportunities which had previously been unavailable to the team and Waterloo fans prior to this point in the 2020/21 season. HOWEVER, the Black Hawks will be consulting with relevant stakeholders within our community to ensure that any policy changes are properly enacted. Our overriding priority is to make this venue both safe and fun for families in attendance, as well as for players, coaches, and employees.
During January, Black Hawks tickets had gone on sale each Sunday morning for upcoming games scheduled during the week which followed. At this time, the Black Hawks are delaying the on-sale date and time for games against the Tri-City Storm on Saturday, February 13th and Sunday, February 14th.

The organization thanks you for your patience, support, and enthusiasm as we take stock of the situation and determine the appropriate way forward.
Currently, all seating pods are socially distant to conform with earlier guidelines provided by the State of Iowa and Black Hawk County Public Health. When available, tickets may be purchased exclusively through tickets.waterlooblackhawks.com. The team is encouraging electronic ticketing this season as part of the Young Arena COVID-19 Readiness Plan, which may be reviewed at waterlooblackhawks.com/covid-plan. Among its contents, fans are reminded that face coverings are required to attend Black Hawks games.
In addition, the Black Hawks remind season ticket holders that the Domino’s Black Hawks Box Office will be open on game days to assist with online account setup and maintenance questions.
