Black Hawks Seek Staff for Game Nights

The Waterloo Black Hawks are currently filling a wide variety of vacancies on our game night staffing roster ahead of the fast-approaching season.  These positions are great for students, the semi-retired, and people working fulltime but looking for a little extra income in a fun environment.

Check out the summary job descriptions below and email Joe Greene (jgreene@waterlooblackhawks.com) to send us some preliminary information about yourself and your interest in being part of the 60th season of hockey in the Cedar Valley.  All positions require a commitment to work weekends, nights, and holidays when home games are on the schedule.

BEER SERVER: Should demonstrate genuine hospitality while delivering exceptional customer service. Keep the bar stocked and clean. Adhere to Iowa legal standards for serving alcoholic beverages. 

STOCK RUNNER: Ensure the beer-serving stations are well-stocked before and during the event. May include heavy lifting. 

BOX OFFICE AND/OR RETAIL STORE ASSOCIATE: Provide customer service, cash handling, and merchandising assistance during events. Process phone and in-person ticket orders through online ticketing system or provide knowledgeable assistance to those purchasing souvenirs or Black Hawks-branded apparel. 

SUITE ATTENDANT: Responsible for serving guests in the luxury suites. Includes serving of meals and beverages, including alcoholic beverages.

GAME OPERATIONS ASSISTANT: Assist in the preparation, set up, and execution of the entire game night operation. Includes game contests, coupon distribution, and fan services.

USHER: Scan guest tickets for entry into Young Arena as well as assist guests in locating their assigned seats during Black Hawks events.

All positions are seasonal and event-based.  However, the Black Hawks will consider successful candidates who demonstrate a high level of responsibility, attentiveness, and customer service skills for future fulltime positions when/if they become available.
