Hawks face in-state foes in September

Weekend matchups with the Des Moines Buccaneers and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will provide Waterloo Black Hawks fans with an early opportunity to watch the 2017/18 squad come together next month.

Tuesday, the Hawks announced a pair of preseason home games against the two Iowa rivals.  The exhibition slate begins with back-to-back games against the Des Moines – first at home and the then on the road – during the weekend of September 15th and 16th.  Waterloo will follow up with the same schedule the following Friday and Saturday versus the RoughRiders.

Seats for all preseason home games are included in season ticket packages at no additional charge.  Fans who would like to purchase tickets for individual exhibition games are invited to call the Domino’s Black Hawks Box Office at (319) 291-7680 or order online from beginning Monday, August 14th.  All seats will be available for $8 each.

Waterloo will play additional exhibition games during the United States Hockey League Fall Classic in Pittsburgh, September 27th through October 1st.  Specific matchups, including opponents and start times, will be released at a later date by the USHL.

The Black Hawks’ first regular season home game will be October 14th versus the Dubuque Fighting Saints.  Individual regular season tickets for all 2017/18 contests at Young Arena will be available for the first time on Friday, September 1st.  Season tickets and group reservations for the 2017/18 campaign may be arranged immediately; both provide unique savings and special benefits.  For more information, contact the Black Hawks’ front office at (319) 232-3444.
