Preseason Ends with Big Finish

Four goals in the final frame moved the Waterloo Black Hawks past the Dubuque Fighting Saints 6-2 Friday during the USHL Fall Classic in Pittsburgh.

 

Garrett Klee scored twice, including a go-ahead tally in the second period and an insurance score in the third.  Danny DiGrande, Bobby Trivigno, and Jax Murray also contributed to the big finish.  James Marooney scored late in the first.

 

Dubuque had taken the lead on a first period score by Chayse Primeau prior to Marooney’s equalizer.  Tyce Thompson also found the net in the third for the Saints.

 

Waterloo concludes the preseason at 4-3

 

The Hawks open the regular season against the Sioux Falls Stampede on the road next Saturday.
